Traveling by car

From Bordeaux: ~2-hour drive
From Paris: ~6-hour drive

Traveling by train

From Paris:
Take the TGV from Paris Montparnasse to Bordeaux (approx. 2h), then change to a local train to Saint-Cyprien-en-Dordogne, Le Buisson or Siorac-en-Perigord (approx. 2h30).
Total travel time: around 4.5–5 hours.

From Bordeaux:
Direct local trains to Saint-Cyprien-en-Dordogne, Le Buisson or Siorac-en-Perigord (approx. 2.5 hours).

From London:
Eurostar to Paris Gare du Nord, transfer to Paris Montparnasse, then follow the Paris route above.

From any of the nearby stations, taxis can be arranged to the château (10–15 minutes away).

Traveling by plane

Bergerac Airport (EGC) – 45 minutes from the château
Mostly serviced by flights from the UK and regional French cities. All flights are currently booked out, but we expect more flights to be released towards the end of 2025 or January 2026.

Bordeaux Airport (BOD) – 2 hours away
Serves major international destinations.

Toulouse Blagnac (TLS) – 2 hours away
Serves major international destinations.

From both airports:
We recommend renting a car at the airport.
Alternatively, you can take a train from Bordeaux to Le Buisson or or Siorac-en-Perigord, then a short taxi ride to the château.

Ideas of where to stay

The region has options in nearby villages but all require a 5-15min car ride and book out early. There are very very few taxis available in the area, so we will help organize transport to and from the wedding venue from Saint-Cyprien. We therefore really recommend booking either in Urval or in Saint-Cyprien. Saint-Cyprien has a train station which will allow guests without a car to be within walking distance of Hôtel de l’Abbaye and Hôtel des Augustins.

  • Urval is the village closest to Chateau de la Bourlie and offers a small handful of rustic gites.

  • Hôtel L'Atelier d’Épicure is a peaceful countryside hotel located just outside the village of Saint-Cyprien, in Castels, offering simple comfort in a green and quiet setting.

    3 to 4 rooms available for the weekend of 21–25 May 2026, each with ensuite bathroom and access to the garden and pool. The restaurant has a great reputation.

    A relaxed base for guests looking to stay close to the village while enjoying nature. Please note this hotel is better suited to people with a car as it is not walking distance from the Saint-Cyprien train station.
